Antonelli, starting P19 after a power-unit penalty, was up to 6th by Lap 7, 3rd by Lap 13 (passed Piastri), 2nd past Verstappen on Lap 16, and led outright past Russell on Lap 18. Russell fought back to lead on Lap 23; Mercedes team orders to hold station and build a gap over Verstappen went initially unheeded, then settled. The decisive call: under the Virtual Safety Car for Stroll's retirement, Mercedes called Antonelli in for fresh mediums (Russell stayed out on old hards). Antonelli rejoined 6th, cleared Gasly, Norris, Hamilton (who erred at a chicane) and Piastri, back to 2nd by Lap 37 — 8.9s behind Russell but on tyres half the age. The winning move: passed Russell at the Ascari chicane with three laps left (Lap 50/53). Finished +3.857s clear. Verstappen briefly led on Lap 12 via Overtake Mode, but couldn't sustain pace against both Mercedes; took podium despite a rear-axle issue flagged since Saturday quali.
Antonelli stretched his lead from 59 to 66 points over Russell (201). Hamilton 191. Norris 4th widens his gap over the scoreless Leclerc to 16. Verstappen to 127 (6th). Ferrari leaves its home race with 8 points (Hamilton P6) and Leclerc scoreless after his lap-2 crash at Parabolica — a bitter reset for the tifosi.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli leads the Drivers' Championship on 267 (66 pts clear of George Russell). Top three: Andrea Kimi Antonelli 267, George Russell 201, Lewis Hamilton 191. Constructors: Mercedes 468 ahead of Ferrari 346. Verified · source: Jolpica standings after Round 13.
